junior rose festival parade

Every year the library enters a Summer Reading float in the Jr. Rose Festival Parade - the nation's largest kids parade. Each year I sort of dread it but then when we actually march, it's great.

This was the first year that E marched with us and he loved it. He waved to the crowd almost the whole route and took it very seriously. He saw three t-ball teammates and felt very cool to be in the parade.

Here's a video of E in the parade:

I was sadly at work and missed it, but apparently Amy and Clara were shouting "K----O'____!!" at you. Must have been that you could not hear them over the din of your other enthusiastic fans. They were excited to see you, and took a photo of you and E. to show me when they got home!! :)
